I've just started running and have not completed any running events.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My main goal right now is to complete the Portland Marathon in October however, as training continues I'm sure to add a time goal.

After the marathon I hope to continue training, losing weight, and gaining strength and muscle

Long-Term Running Goals:

In my lifetime I want to qualify for the Boston Marathon and complete it with a reasonable time

Personal:

I'm in law enforcement and want to use running as a way of staying fit and safe.

My first long run. From my house to Mysterious Kelly Butte Natural Area.

I tried the GU Gel for the first time and it processed without issues.

Lots of uphill especially on the trail up to the Butte

My first official run towards the Portland Marathon. My marathon partner ran this with me. I am a little further in the schedule than her but I don't doubt she will catch up quick!

Also, this route was hilly...up NE 33rd which is one giant hill.

Quick run around NE. Second run with Tausha. We ran through a nice park a couple times which was softer on my feet.
